My name is Kay Mertens.
I am a passionate toy designer with an interest in all things nerdy. I love finding extraordinary in the ordinary and creating magic in people's everyday lives. No matter what age range, my goal is to connect and inspire people through play.
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Design. I specialize in front-end ideation, research, concepting, sketching, IP development, materials and manufacturing.
Currently employed at Spin Master, working on Hex Bots and Tech Deck. I love making little guys!
